Brad Oldham created the first five Field Rabbits sculptures for a private commission at more than six feet tall. He liked how the artwork looked in outdoor settings and went about creating variations to fine-tune his vision. Since that first sculpture, Oldham has built Field Rabbit sculptures small enough to sit inside and he equally enjoys creating the approximately 30-inch-tall scale of sculptures for the flexibility of displaying the smaller pieces to create “conversations.”
