Commissioned by DSV in celebration of Ole Iversen’s 60^th birthday, this sculpture weaves together elements of Scandinavian history, global travel, and U.S. business, encapsulating a powerful narrative. A nod to one of Denmark’s most iconic historical periods, the age of the Vikings, renowned for their exploration during ancient times. Much like these seafarers, Ole Iversen and his global transport and logistics team at DSV navigate the world with equal expertise today.

 The dragon head, a distinctive feature on Viking ships, serves as a potent symbol of strength and protection during global journeys. Drawing inspiration from this symbolism, our sculpture incorporates both the Danish flag and the U.S. flag, paying respects to Ole’s personal journey and accomplishments. Happy Birthday, Ole!
